WinWinD and Cursor to develop 120MW in Finland

FINLAND: Developer Cursor Oy and manufacturer WinWinD have signed a cooperation agreement to build a wind collection of wind projects in Finland totalling 120MW.

The wind projects will be in the Kotka-Hamina region in southern Finland and will be installed by the end of 2013.

40 of WinWinD’s 3MW wind turbines will be used. These are design for inland low wind speeds and onshore areas with stronger winds.

Cursor and fellow developer TuuliWatti Oy have also signed a letter of intent with WinWinD for for an additional 30 3MW wind turbines. The projects will be in Kotka-Hamina.

The Virolahti wind farm, which will be built in 2012, is set to receive 6 of these turbines.
