The order is for 18 N100 2.5MW turbines for a development that will be located in Power County, in the south of the state. Delivery is set for mid-May with a September completion date.

The N100, designed for low to medium wind speeds, is the latest generation of Nordex’s 2.5-MW N80/N90 turbines.

Nordex won around 100MW in contracts at the end of 2010 to supply the N100 to a number of US wind farms.

CG Power Systems is owned by Indian power generation company Crompton Greaves. A large proportion of its business is based around transmission projects. It claims to have connected around 25% of wind farms in the US.
