Once these projects come online, Sorgenia will see its total capacity in the two markets rise to just over 400 MW.
In particular, Sorgenia has obtained authorizations for five wind farms with combined capacity of 76MW in the southern Italian regions of Campania and Molise.
In France, Sorgenia has obtained authorizations for nine wind farms with combined capacity of 92MW. Most of these projects are in the Champagne-Ardenne region.
Sorgenia, which is controlled by Italian holding company CIR and counts Austrian utility Verbund among its shareholders, already has installed capacity of 81MW in Italy and 153MW in France.
The company also has plans to expand in Romania, where it has received permits for 196MW in wind farms near Falciu, a village in eastern Romania.
