The project, which may generate 300MW, is in the early stages of development. according to the East Oregonian, Horizon has been gathering wind data on the Basket, Lincton and Weston mountains for three years.
The wind farm would be similar in size to Horizon’s proposed Antelope Ridge project in Union County. The region is one of the windiest areas of the Pacific Northwest.
In December, Horizon signed a power purchase agreement with Constellation Energy Commodities Group for the 198MWTop Crop II Wind Farm in Grundy County, Illinois. The development consists of 132 GE sle 1.5MW turbines.
