The manufacturer will supply 10 G9X-2.0MW turbines for the Madranbaba wind farm in the province of Aydin, south west Turkey.

The deal also includes a 16-year service agreement. The wind farm is scheduled to begin operating between late 2011 and early 2012.

This is Gamesa’s second contract in Turkey, following an agreement in October with ABK Enerji Elektrik Uretim for 30MW. The deal was for 15 G90-2.0MW turbines, and included a 16-year service agreement.

In November, Nordex secured an order from Iltek Iletsim, the energy subsidiary of diversified conglomerate Eksim Holding, to supply 18 of its 2.5MW turbines to a wind power project at Sursuluk in the western province of Balikesir.
