It has acquired Encore Power Services, a Texas-based provider of field services, parts and component repair for wind and other turbines.
LM Wind Power Service & Logistics president, Roman Thomassin said: "Our overall strategy is to build upon our well-established, respected blade service business, ultimately providing a complete range of wind related services.
"This acquisition is a significant part of our worldwide expansion, marking a milestone for our company and creating a value-added service for our customers in North America."
LM offers inspection, repair, overhaul, preventive maintenance and blade logistics globally.
In 2010, the company reconfigured its service and logistics business. For example in August itopened two new US service centres, in Iowa and Texas, two powerhouses of wind activity.
