The deal is for the Bisaccia wind power plant in Campania. Vestas will supply 22 V90-3.0MW turbines for the project, with delivery set to begin at the end of 2011.
The contract also includes a ten-year service agreement.
Winbis is owned by Swiss energy group EGL. The Bisaccia development, which will be operational in 2012, will be the company's first Italian wind farm. The wind farm is expected to produce roughly 116GWh of electricity annually.
This is the second order Vestas has received for Campania in recent months.
In September, the manufacturer received an order for 54MW from Italian Utility Edison for the San Giorgio la Molara project. The deal was for 27 V90 2MW turbines.
