Noble sells stake in 99MW New Hampshire project

UNITED STATES: Noble Environmental Power has sold its majority interest in the 99MW Granite Reliable Windpark in New Hampshire, to Brookfield Renewable Power.

The acquisition does not alter the plan for the development, which is set to begin generating power at the end of 2011.

Granite Reliable Windpark is the largest commercial-scale wind farm in New Hampshire. Noble ordered 33 Vestas V90 3MW turbines for the site at the beginning of the year.

A large proportion of Toronto-based Brookfield’s 4.1GW portfolio consists of hydroelectric developments in North America and Brazil.

In October, it purchased 72 Siemens SWT-2.3-101 turbines for the 166MW Comber Wind Project, in Ontario.
