Horizon signs 198MW PPA with Constellation

UNITED STATES: Horizon Wind Energy has signed a five-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Constellation Energy Commodities Group for a 198MW Illinois project.

 The PPA is for the Top Crop II Wind Farm (in operation) located in Grundy County (Illinois). The wind farm consists of 132 GE sle 1.5MW turbines.

In a statement issued to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) on December 13, Horizon-owner EDPR said it has managed to close more than 660MW of long-term contracts in 2010.
