Repower is supplying 25 MM92 2.05MW turbines to be used in one of four projects planned for Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and Washington. The MM92 is designed for locations with low to medium speed wind.
The machines are set to be delivered by summer 2011 with the aim of bringing the project online by the end of the year.
It is the first time Everpower has purchased Repower turbines. Earlier this month it signed a deal with Nordex to supply 75MW installed capacity of N100 turbines. Everpower was unable to disclose where the machines would be used.
Everpower claims to have more than 600MW lined up for installation over the next three years. The company was bought in September 2009 by UK private equity giant Terra Firma for a reported $350 million.
