Vestas will supply 24 of its V90 1.8MW turbines to the Oak Glen wind farm, in Steele County, with delivery scheduled for summer 2011. The turbine is designed for medium wind speed locations.
The deal also includes a five-year operations and maintenance agreement.
This is the sixth North American order for the V90 1.8MW turbine this year.
Others include a 145MW deal from We Energies for the Glacier Hills wind farm in Wisconsin, and a contract from Capital Power Corporation to supply 42MW for a project in British Columbia.
