The contract includes a five-year agreement for maintenance and service. This is the second time EverPower has selected Nordex.
It is not yet clear which wind project the turbines will be used for, although the turbine order is firm, said an EverPower spokesman. "There are still financial issues to be worked out," he said.
A spokeswoman for Nordex, however, said that the turbines are for a project in Pennsylvania.
Nordex recently dedicated its new turbine manufacturing plant in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The turbines are the first to be made at the Jonesboro plant.
In 2009, EverPower installed 25 Nordex N90’s Highland wind farm, a 62.5 MW project in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
The N100s are the latest generation of Nordex’s 2.5-MW N80/N90 turbines and are designed specifically for low to moderate wind speeds.
