Companies are invited to bid for up to 15MW in French Guiana; 20MW in Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélémy and Saint-Martin; and 20MW in each of Martinique, Réunion and Corsica.

Projects must include forecasting systems and the means to store energy in order to integrate more renewables into the islands' isolated grids without compromising network stability.

The government is aiming to source at least 50% of final energy demand from renewables in its overseas territories by 2020.

Bids must be submitted by May 30 2011. The projects are scheduled for completion by 2013.
