The project, which is located in west central Illinois, will use Suzlon turbines. It is in two phases: the first is expected to come online next year, the next in 2012.
Both companies said there is potential for further collaboration on Affinity Wind projects.
Affinity Wind was launched in 2008. The Illinois wind farm is the first of a number of developments the company says it is planning to build in the Midwest.
