Wind Wire: Italian firm acquires 138MW project

SERBIA: Italy's Fintel Energia Group has acquired a 138MW wind farm project in eastern Serbia through its Serbian subsidiary MK-Fintel Wind.

The acquisition contract was signed on August 31 with Swedish power generation consultants Cleps. The so-called RAM project will be made up of 46 3MW wind turbines in the municipalities of Pozarevac and Veliko Gradiste. The project is in the very early development stage and the authorisation procedure has yet to begin. The productivity of the site is estimated at 2,900 hours per year with a capacity factor, or ratio of actual output to nameplated output, of 37.6%. The buyer will get a variable compensation each year, equal to 1.5% of the revenue generated.
