The largest deal is with Guangdong and will see Gamesa supply turbines for two projects; 576MW in Laioning and 450MW in Heilongjiang. The agreement runs up until 2013.

According to Reuters, Datang will purchase 289MW. The turbines for both contracts will be G8X 2MW and G5X 850KW models.

Yesterday Gamesa announced it was tripling its investment in China. The company announced plans to triple its investment in China and revamp its factories to accommodate new products, including the G10X-4.5MW and planned offshore turbines.

Gamesa's announcement follows a similar move by rival Suzlon, which announced it is planning to expand its Chinese operations.
