The 6MW order is for three MM92 turbines for the Klagerup wind farm being built by Swedish developer HS Kraft. It is scheduled to come online in late 2011.

Repower Scandinavia will open in Vasteras, 100km west of Stockholm. Speaking about the move, Repower chief market officer Per Hornung Pedersen said: "Sweden is an important market of the future for wind energy.

"With the Swedish government's concrete and ambitious goals for the expansion of renewable energy sources, the simplified planning and approval process, and the joint certificate market with Norway beginning in 2012 there is a supportive regulatory framework for wind turbine projects."

According to Windpower Monthly’s quarterly Windicator report into wind energy growth, Sweden currently has a wind energy capacity of 1560MW.
