Wind Wire: United States - Supply chain firm reports losses

Supply-chain company Broadwind Energy has failed to escape the downturn in the US wind industry.

It reported 2009 revenue of $197.8 million and a net loss of $110.1 million. This compares with a net loss of $25.3 million in 2008 on a revenue of $217.3 million. Broadwind chief executive J Cameron Drecoll cited market conditions and lower fourth-quarter purchases from customers.
