SPT Offshore, a subsidiary within the Volker Wessels group (15,000 employees; 2013 turnover EUR 4.5 billion), is an offshore contractor specialized in suction pile foundations and self installing re-usable platforms used for the offshore oil/gas industry and offshore wind farms. SPT Offshore has developed its Suction Installed Wind Turbine (SIWT) concept, which allows installation of the suction pile foundation and wind turbine in one piece within 24 hours per structure and turbine. For the tow and installation of SIWT, we require a twin crane floating sheerleg preferably equipped with DP for positioning plus a towing tug. Offshore Jack-up vessels are therefore not required for the foundation nor for the turbine installation. The SIWT is a tripod structure founded on 3 suction piles which makes it easy, fast and noisefree to install. Furthermore, the SIWT offers scheduling flexibility, low installation cost, easy decommissioning and re-usability. Furthermore, SPT has developed several floatover concepts for heavy AC or HV/DC transformer stations, with a weight in excess of the biggest HLVs. 



Bilfinger is a major supplier of solutions to the wind power industry. As an EPCI contractor its experience in offshore projects dates back to early 2000. In this time, Bilfinger Offshore Systems has installed over 550 foundations for wind turbines, met masts and substations. The foundations of four of the eight largest offshore wind farms were installed by Bilfinger. Bilfinger Mars Offshore is a new joint venture between Bilfinger and Mars, a leading Polish state-owned investment fund, supporting investments in shipyard and offshore industry in Poland. From 2015, Bilfinger Mars Offshore we will produce jackets, transition pieces and towers in the new fabrication plant in Poland. As a leading European industrial service provider, Bilfinger also offers inspection, repair and maintenance services for offshore wind farms



Fistuca BV is a young, dynamic and innovative company. Fistuca started in 2008 as a spin-off from the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), developing solutions for the foundation industry.

BAUER Renewables Ltd. is a subsidiary of BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH and was founded in 2010. The offices are in Bishops Stortford, UK, where also the other UK subsidiary, BAUER Technologies Ltd. is located. The company’s field of operation is offshore construction for wind and tidal energy. With the BSD 3000 drill rig BRL provides the possibility to install monopiles or similar constructions into the seabed. The used equipment allows a drilling depth up to 11 m and a diameter up to 2.3 m. A bigger dimension can be realized on request.There are nearly no limits for the installation regarding the environmental conditions like waterdepth, strong current or hard rock. The technique uses wet rotary drilling, no driving is needed, to minimize noise detrimental to sea life.Bauer Renewables provides the complete services to design, drill, install and grout the foundation structure.
