American Wind Energy Association
AWEA is a national trade association representing wind power project developers, equipment suppliers, services providers, parts manufacturers, utilities, researchers, and others involved in the wind industry.
British Wind Energy Association (BWEA)
Trade and professional body for the UK wind industry. 310 member organisations. Has included the wave and tidal energy community since 2004.
Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE)
A charity that aims to advance sustainable energy policy and practice.
Energy 21
Registered educational charity which aims to unite local groups that are working toward the use of renewable energy.
European Association for Renewable Energies (EUROSOLAR)
Non-profit association that works independently of political parties, institutions, commercial enterprises and interest groups to promote the total replacement of nuclear and fossil energies with renewable energy sources.
European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (EUFORES)
A non-profit organisation that aims to promote the use of renewable energy.
European Wind Energy Association (EWEA)
Actively promotes the use of wind power in Europe and world-wide. Over 390 member organisations.
European Renewable Energy Centres Agency
Established as a European Economic Interest Group in 1991. An independent member-based association, it incorporates 48 research groups from all over Europe, and covering all forms of renewable energy.
Global Wind Energy Council
Members include over 1,500 companies and institutions, including all the world’s major wind turbine manufacturers.
International Solar Energy Society (ISES)
A UN accredited non-governmental organisation that supports its members in the advancement of renewable energy technology, implementation and education all over the world.
Renewable Energy Association
Established in 2001 to represent British renewable energy producers and promote the use of sustainable energy in the UK. Has 450 member organisations.
Renewable Energy Foundation (REF)
A not-for-profit foundation that encourages the development of renewable energy and energy conservation whilst safeguarding the landscapes of the United Kingdom from unsustainable industrialisation.
NEF Renewables (GreenEnergy)
The renewable energy department of The National Energy Foundation aims to encourage sustainable and green sources of energy by promoting renewable energy and providing information and advice.
World Renewable Energy Congress
Non-profit organisation affiliated to UNESCO, aims to promote the technical education of scientists, engineers, technicians and managers and to apply itself to the energy needs of developing and developed countries.
World Council for Renewable Energy
NGO aiming to develop policies and strategies for renewable energy by bringing it into the mainstream of world economy and lifestyle.
