LM launches third blade factory

Major Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind has ordered blades from Denmark's LM Glasfiber to equip 1100 MW of its 1.5 MW turbine between 2009 and 2012, says the blade company. To meet demand, LM will launch its third and largest blade factory in China, in Qin Huang Dao in the north-east. The first phase of the factory is scheduled for commissioning in the fourth quarter, LM Glasfiber says. Its relationship with Goldwind started in 2007.
