The first six machines will be commissioned in August and the rest in 2011. Akuo operates 25MW in France and has 61MW under construction. Its project pipeline includes 1GW in the US, 500MW in Turkey, 250MW in India, 200MW in Uruguay, 200MW in Poland and 150MW in Croatia. Repower, which has installed around 850MW in France, says the country represented its second-biggest market after the US in the 2008/9 financial year.
Wind Wire: France - Repower chosen for three projects
French renewables developer and operator Akuo Energy has selected Germany's Repower to deliver 25 wind turbines to three projects totalling 51MW in France's Champagne-Ardenne region.
