Two main lobby group join forces

France's two main wind industry lobby groups, the Renewable Energy Syndicate (SER) and the French Wind Energy Association (FEE), have decided to join forces. Under the new unified structure, FEE will become the wind power branch of SER. The two groups believe that by speaking with one voice they will be better able to promote the wind industry and to defend it against the "unjustified attacks" to which it is subject in France. Founded in 1993, SER represents over a thousand members from the renewable energy sector, including solar power, biomass, hydro electric and geothermal power, as well as wind energy. FEE was founded in 1996 and comprises 120 members from all sectors of the wind industry, from consultants and developers to finance specialists. A single membership structure will be introduced in the near future.
