Developer Umweltkontor carries out environmental studies at proposed Baltic Sea site

Wind and renewables developer Umweltkontor Renewable Energy has chartered the Polish research vessel Oceania to speed up environmental studies at its proposed offshore wind station site at Adlergrund in the Baltic Sea. The wind station site lies in a region already used for gravel extraction and has water depths of 15 to 25 metres, the company says. It expects to complete the marine investigations by the autumn, adding that the licensing procedure for the wind plant is running to plan.
