Guide to wind power published for MPs and local authorities

Labour party think tank SERA has published a guide to wind power for members of parliament (MPs) and local authority councillors. The briefing document was produced with help from npower renewables and the British Wind Energy Association. It assesses the issues surrounding wind energy, addresses the myths peddled by wind's opponents and aims to provide reasoned arguments for elected members to counter the arguments of wind sceptics. Kevin McCullough of npower renewables hopes the briefing will help MPs address the concerns of their constituents. "It has never been more important to have a widespread understanding of the need for wind power, the benefits it can bring and the potential for appropriate development."
