Enernova builds second wind station

Enernova, a subsidiary of the Portuguese utility group Electricidade de Portugal, is building a second wind station at Pena Suar in the north of the country. The plant will consist of 20, Enercon E40 500 kW machines from Germany and should come into operation at the end of this year, says Enercon's Juanita Fromme. The first Enernova wind station, sited some 20 kilometres from the new project, has a rated capacity of 10.2 MW and used Vestas machines from Denmark.
