Wind turbines produced 75 million kWh in Sweden during 1994, according to energy authority Nutek's annual report on wind power. The number of wind turbines increased from 129 to 157 and installed capacity from 26 till 35 MW, an increase of 33%. Other statistics in the report reveal that the average availability of standard turbines was 96.5%; that there has been a clear trend towards bigger 500 kW turbines; and that winds in 1994 were only 97% of those in a normal year.
