J-Power acquires three plant

Electricity wholesaler J-Power has acquired three wind farms from trading company Marubeni, increasing the number of its domestic wind farms to 12 with a combined capacity of 256 MW. The Marubeni purchase amounts to 45.4 MW of wind plant capacity consisting of the Sarakitomanai Wind Farm in Hokkaido (nine 1.65 MW turbines); the Yokihini-no-Sato Wind Farm in Yamaguchi Prefecture (three 1.5 MW turbines); and the Minamiosumi wind farm in Kumamoto Prefecture (20, 1.3 MW turbines). J-Power has acquired stakes in the three companies operating the wind plant of 49%, 90% and 80%, respectively, representing Marubeni's entire ownership. J-Power also owns the 48 MW Zajaczkowo wind farm in Poland.
