Drilling experts form Trevi Energy to develop offshore wind development

Italian firm Trevi Finanziaria Industriale has set up a new unit called Trevi Energy to operate in the renewable energy business, particularly in offshore wind. Company chairman Davide Trevisani says the group wants to leverage off its experience in its core drilling and special foundation businesses to offer both wind turbine foundation services and technology and to develop its own offshore wind farms. Trevi says it has already begun the process to develop wind resource off Italy's coasts, but has not revealed details about projects.
