Pakistan's first wind power project installed in Sindh and Balochistan

Pakistan's Ministry of Science and Technology has announced that the country's first wind power project is being installed along the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. The decision is based on the results of a wind mapping project started last July. A total of 14 small wind energy converters, eight of 300W and six of 500W are being supplied by China for the project -- providing electricity to these two remote regions for the first time. If successful, the project will be replicated in other remote areas of the country, the ministry says.
