Utilities prepared to extend their grids to receive wind power and other renewables will be financially assisted to do so in India by the country's Power Finance Corporation. According to the Secretary of State for non conventional energy, Mr BR Prabhakara, his ministry will reward State Electricity Boards purchasing the maximum quantity of non conventional power in a given period.
