Vindkompaniet AB has applied for permission to expand a project of three Wind World 500 kW machines at Näsudden on the Baltic island of Gotland to a wind farm of 19 of the Danish turbines. A decision is expected in June. If permission is granted half the wind farm will be built this autumn and the remainder in the spring of 1995. Vindkompaniet has been formed by a group of people already involved in establishing wind co-operatives on Gotland. Some of the turbines in the new project will be sold to co-operatives and the rest owned by Vindkompaniet. Vindkompaniet already has permission to build two WindWorld 500 kW turbines at another location at Näsudden, also to be sold to local co-operatives.
