Spanish turbine manufacturer Made Tecnologías has clinched a EUR 7.8 million turnkey contract with developer Société Tunisisene de L'Électricité et du Gaz to complete the 8.8 MW second phase of Tunisia's Sidi Daoud wind plant. Made announces that as well as its 660 kW machine the deal includes orders for its latest 1350 kW and 800 kW turbines (Windpower Monthly, May 2002). Neither of these machines has yet been produced in series, although there has been a recent spate of orders for them in Spain. Sidi Daoud today consists of 32 Made 330 kW turbines already on-line at the site.
