Rumours of German drop-out from EWEA denied

Rumours that the German wind energy association BWE intends to pull out of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) have been firmly denied by the managing director of the German organisation, Heinrich Bartelt. "There is no question of us pulling out, we have no interest in leaving EWEA," he says. "We are concerned that EWEA continues to have a strong voice under its new president, Klaus Rave," he adds. Rave, of the Schleswig Holstein Investment Bank took up the baton from outgoing president Ian Mays in March.
