German manufacturer Repower ships turbines for 9 MW wind farm

Germany's Repower Systems has shipped six 1.5 MW wind turbines to Japan to be installed in a 9 MW wind farm in Mushigamine, Ishikawa Prefecture. Construction of the project, which is being developed by Hakuriku Power Station Company, is expected to be completed by September. All the electricity generated will be sold to the local utility. A further Repower 1.5 MW turbine has been ordered by the German company's Japanese agent, Meidensha Corporation, for a project in Nawa-cho in Tottori Prefecture. To be installed by the end of December, the turbine will be owned by Nawa Town. Meidensha is also working on a 25.5 MW wind project.
