On licence in India

Nordex wind turbines are to be manufactured on licence in India by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL). The Danish company says high import taxes have made foreign wind turbines too expensive in India. Technology transfer and local manufacture will solve this problem and speed growth of the Indian market. BHEL is India's largest company with 80,000 employees. Nordex is the third Danish company to make wind turbines in India, following on the heels of Vestas and Micon.
