Getting the framework right

No longer is price the key parameter for wind power's growth. It is now cheap enough to be seriously considered. More important these days -- in both the US and Europe, wind's main markets -- is getting the legislative framework right. That means ensuring that long term incentives are built into competitive electricity markets and that the rules for transmission and trade give wind a fair chance. There are still a lot of meetings to be held and lobbying to be done on both sides of the Atlantic, but slowly the day is being won.
