The company Windtest Kaiser-Wilhelm Koog GmbH has asked us to point out that it has no connection with the Deutsche Windenergi Institute (DEWI), of Wilhelmshaven, as stated in the February issue of Windpower Monthly. Windtest is a privately owned company, founded in 1989 by the classification company, Germanischer Lloyd, the local utility, Schleswag AG, the state of Schleswig Holstein, the district of Ditchmarschen and the municipal authority of Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog. Windtest operates an extensive test site for wind turbines. The independent company has carried out measurements on most of the turbines now on the German market.
