NedWind says it has sold 48 wind turbines to the China National Instrument Import & Export Corporation. The turbines are to be installed at Xinjiang Wind Power General Plant in Urumqi in the province of Xinjiang where just over 40 Danish turbines are already turning. However, the order is dependent on a subsidy from the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs under a programme which grants aid to projects in developing countries which have a positive environmental impact and relevance for social and economic development. A decision on the subsidy application is expected by the end of the year.
