Court rules for grid connection of wind plant

Wind developer Ventus of Brandenburg has cleared another hurdle in its battle to get 19, 850 kW Frisia F56 turbines at the Jacobsdorf wind station connected to the grid of the utility E-dis Energie Nord (Windpower Monthly, April 2000). After a public protest in March, which heightened the interest of the Land cartel office in the project's red tape problems, the Potsdam district court issued an injunction for the immediate connection of the wind station to the grid -- at least until a pending court case on the link with a transformer station has been heard.
