Wind energy gets less bad press

Wind energy appears to be less of a contentious issue in the UK press today than it was a year ago. This is the finding of an analysis of letters to local and national newspapers conducted by the British Wind Energy Association. In particular, letters critical of wind energy show a marked decline over the year. The number of letters in favour of wind -- usually less numerous and often written in reply to negative items -- has not fallen off as steeply as mail from wind energy's opponents.
