Seoul and Hamburg companies plan 100 MW of wind

Engineering company SMH Heavy Industry Windtech, of Seoul in South Korea is partnering Ökostrom Handel of Hamburg, Germany, for the development of wind stations in South Korea and the Philippines between 2001 and 2005. The agreement covers the installation of 100 MW of wind capacity at various locations in South Korea as well as about 30 MW on the second largest Philippine island, Mendanao, and about 20 MW on the third largest island, Palawan, according to Jens Peters of Ökostrom Handel.
