German wind financiers form new company Intervent in France

German wind financing company Das Grüne Emissionshaus (formerly Bobikiewicz and Partner) has formed a new company in France called Intervent. The firm, based in Paris, will finance the search for wind plant locations and co-ordinate development of the sites. It also hopes to attract developers as co-operation partners in France, says the company's Markus Brian. Over the last few months, Grüne Emissionshaus has employed the Aurich-based development firm Regioplan to scour France for attractive wind energy sites. The first phase is now complete and sites in northern and southern France are being secured by Intervent, Brian says. Last year, Das Grüne Emissionhaus, based in Freiburg, invested EUR 60 million in nine German wind energy projects.
