Nordex Balcke-Dürr has won a contract to supply 25, 1 MW N54 turbines to Energiekontor, a wind energy planning and development company based in Bremerhaven. The turbines, worth about DEM 40 million, will be erected at the Windpark Holssel/Langen power station near Bremerhaven, Nordex reports. The company plans to install the plant by the end of the year. "This contract allows Nordex Balcke-Dürr to further build its leading position in the market for megawatt turbines," says Hans Fechner of BDAG Balcke-Dürr, the parent company of Nordex.
