NEG Micon restrained

National Energy Processing Company of India Ltd (NEPC), the former partner of Micon, has obtained a restraining order in the Chennai High Court against NEG Micon. The court has ruled that neither NEG Micon nor its subsidiary, Asian Wind Turbines, may manufacture wind turbines of 225 kW, 250 kW and 400 kW in size or accept maintenance contracts for any NEPC units of those sizes. According to Raj Kumar of NEPC, "NEG Micon has permission from the government for 600 kW turbines and above. They are not an Indian company and have no right to do maintenance on smaller machines." x
