An analysis of responses to the government's consultation on a renewable energy strategy for the UK has been published by the Department of Trade and Industry (page 43). The DTI received 250 views from all sectors of the community including MPs, industry, lobby groups and the general public after it launched a consultation paper in March. It was seeking views on national and regional targets, planning arrangements, and a future support structure, among other issues. Later, the government is to produce an Energy Paper setting out its renewables policy and strategy.
