Anti-wind lobby attend conference accompanied by BBC film crew

The anti-wind farm lobby was represented at BWEA 25 by two wind farm opponents who had brought with them a BBC television crew. Ann Metcalfe, a leading light in a group opposing United Utilities' proposed wind farm at Scout Moor in Lancashire, was being filmed for a BBC 2 program in a series of six entitled: "Bee in my Bonnet." Metcalfe was filmed questioning energy minister Stephen Timms in the conference hall and at a press conference, and speaking with a number of wind industry members in the exhibition hall. Alison Hill from BWEA says: "We spent a lot of time talking to them and they spoke with companies who are creating jobs in the industry, but what was apparent was that they just did not want to hear what anyone had to say."
