Gamesa will supply 45 G97 2.1MW and four G90-2MW turbines to the New Creek project. It is the first deal between Enbridge and the Spanish manufacturer.

Delivery is expected during 2016 and the project is due online by the end of next year. Gamesa has also agreed to service the turbines for five years.

Enbridge has also announced the acquisition of the project from EverPower Wind Holdings for $200 million.

In the first nine months of 2015, the US accounted for 11% of Gamesa's total MW sales. Globally, the manufacturer sold 2.3GW in 2015 to end September, an increase of 25.6% compared to 2014.

Enbridge has a wind porfolio of approximately 2GW in North America, plus a 24.9% stake in the 400MW Rampion offshore project being developed by E.on off the UK's south coast.
