The contract is for 25 V126-3.3MW turbines to go to the Korytnica North wind project in the south of the country. According to Vestas the project will be commissioned in the last quarter of this year.

In a statement, Vestas said the deal was unconditional. It includes a 15-year service agreement.

According to Windpower Monthly's data division, Windpower Intelligence, Vestas has installed around 1GW in Poland. Korytnica will be one of its biggest projects.

Other major Polish deals for Vestas include the 82MW Marszewo I and 54MW Ilza projects, which are located in Western Pomerania and Masovia respectively.

Poland's wind energy sector is expected to post solid growth this year, with the country's wind energy association estimating 500-600MW of new capacity to come online.
