A graduate in nuclear engineering, Starace has been with Enel since 2000, taking the CEO role at Enel Green Power between 2008 and May this year.

Developer/utility

Since then he has been CEO and general manager of the Enel Group. In recent years the company has shifted its focus away from its Italian home market towards South America, specifically Chile, although it is also looking at smaller countries. It has also been looking at Eastern Europe and is developing in South Africa. Another reason for Starace's position here is Enel's 4GW-plus wind capacity.
